Full description of the position
The Early Learning Shared Services Alliance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides high quality business management support services to small childcare programs that serve low-income communities. As a shared services alliance of small centers and home-based childcare providers, ELSSA addresses gaps in resources, business experience, and capacity through a centralized hub of back-office administrative services so that providers can focus on quality programming and education.
ELSSA launched in 2021 with a pilot program serving 10 providers in Central Florida. With a recent award of funding through the Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five (PDG B-5) program, ELSSA has been charged to expand its service network to 50 providers over the next 18 months.
The Childcare Business Coach works with early childhood program leaders (center and home-based programs) to offer financial management coaching to identify and implement strategies to strengthen fiscal sustainability and support high quality programming. The Coach supports programs in understanding business metrics such as enrollment strategies, full fee collection, cost-per-child calculations, and utilizing automation (Child Care Management Software) to support efficient operations, budgeting, and financial reporting. Provides services in a collaborative, reflective and efficient manner, according to ELSSA’s mission and philosophy.
