POSITION PROFILE

The Business Development Manager is responsible for promoting and selling the Ricoh 3D printing, anatomic modeling, and biomedical engineering services to medical device developers. Additionally, the Business Development Manager will identify new sales leads for Ricoh’s products, travel to customer locations to demonstrate products to potential buyers and provide additional services to existing customers.

The Business Development Manager creates and maintains an extensive sales network and demonstrates experience as a salesperson in the medical field and is a widely known and trusted brand ambassador for Ricoh 3D for healthcare and its services.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifying potential buyers and traveling to medical device developer company locations
  • Completing sales contracts, expediting purchase orders, and ensuring seamless supply
  • Maintaining sales records within CRM or tracking document
  • Liaising with internal departments about product features, and functionalities, and driving utilization of our 3D printing, anatomic modeling, and biomedical engineering services
  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Memorizing product features/advantages/benefits, unique selling points, and presenting their functionalities, using applicable medical terminology
  • Maintaining existing customer networks and informing customers of upgrades or new product lines or indications
  • Analyzing competitor products and highlighting our unique product features in sales pitches
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Enhances organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Responsible for services revenue and profit growth for Ricoh 3D for Healthcare.
  • Ensures that at all times, business conducted within the Ricoh 3D for a Healthcare organization is of the highest ethical and professional standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

Typically Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in marketing, biology, biomedical engineering, pre-medical, anatomy, mechanical engineering, or another technical/business field
  • 5+ years of medical device experience (preferred)
  • 5+ years of additive manufacturing experience (desired)
  • Experience with working in an FDA-regulated environment
