· Proactively market, prospect and sell banquet events including but not limited to Social Events, Corporate Meetings, Weddings, Holiday Parties, Special Events, etc. at a level to meet and/or exceed monthly budgeted requirements
· Submit weekly sales reports
· Maintain knowledge of banquet facilities, capacities and dimensions of private and non- private event space.
· Work closely with clients to finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings on all event details including food and beverage selections, decorations, itinerary, audio visual requirements, and setup by creating a Banquet Event Order (BEO) and a Room diagram for all events.
· Meet weekly to review all function space setups and details with the Director of Food and Beverage, Restaurant Managers and Chef.
· Work directly with Directors and Department Managers on a daily basis to coordinate event details.
· Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks. Collect clients deposits and payments according to the River Inn policy. You are responsible for the collection of all balances. Commissions will not be paid until client’s account is paid in full.
· Maintain strong professional relationships with team members.
· Respond to all phone calls, emails and other inquiries.
· Actively and creatively up-sell each catering event to maximum revenue.
· Actively participate in local organizations to maintain awareness within the community.
· Work closely with the Executive Chef Director of Food and Beverage to create custom and innovative menus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
