Full description of the position

Sales Producer


The Producer is responsible for prospecting, soliciting, quoting, and selling new business. You must be comfortable soliciting new business and creating a marketing plan for our products. You will need to meet new business production and sales goals. You must be self-motivated but also have the ability to work in a team environment.


Job Responsibilities:

o Be on time for all meetings and appointments

o Document all client interactions (all mediums) in QQ

o Identifies and develops insurances prospects and appropriate markets.

o Creates and maintains prospect pipeline

o Assists service staff to collect client information as needed

o Prequalifies all PL CL prospects using the agency DAQ process

o Responds to referrals quickly and effectively.

o Underwrite business for insurability and quality of risk (rating factors include loss exposure, needs, and possible uninsurable or difficult to insure exposures for clients).

o Designs insurance plans and recommends coverages to clients.

o Creates insurance proposals, present the proposals, and close the sale.

o Completes and submits applications and related documentation to appropriate insurance markets.

o Educates clients on payment expectations and cancellation procedures.

o Develops a book of business that is profitable for both the agency and the carriers.

o Works with clients to ensure limit and coverage adequacy.

o Reviews existing policy coverages, at least annually, to upgrade accounts and remarket if necessary.

o Retains assigned percentage of accounts at each renewal.

o Continues to develop a relationship with insured.

o Cross sale to gain all lines of business for an insured and offer the best package rate to meet their needs.

o Asks for referral from insureds to help generate business

o Develop a book of a business that is profitable for both the agency and carriers

o Accepts and handles any duties/prospects as assigned by supervisor(s).
