Full description of the position

Salary: $55k - 85k per year
Reference: KR Outside Sales 1


The successful Sales Executive will build, develop, and manage a customer base of outside sales. for cultivating and growing partnerships with shipping customers. You will develop a sales plan and successfully execute that plan to hit target sales goals. Sales/Account Executive (55-85k+) in base salary with 3% commission of total revenue paid monthly and open to make this position remote or hybrid depending on the experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Expedited shipping experience/Trucking Transportation
  • "Hunt" outside sales needing transportation for expediting
  • Develop sales and account management strategies
  • Directly engaging in the sales process (early stages of branch development) as well as being the primary driver of the sales process
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with a variety of external customers
  • Know what sets us apart
  • Understand customer needs and do best to deliver
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales target

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge with expedited shipping
  • Personable, friendly, able to build rapport quickly and efficiently
  • Bring a successful book of business
  • 2+ years outside sales experience with emphasis in success with prospecting and closing
  • Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspect of our services
  • Comfortable cross-selling full suite of our solutions to customers and prospects
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Direct truckload sales experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Training in Negotiation, Time Management, Public Speaking, or other areas are valuable
  • Preferred, not required - Bachelor's degree (Business, Management, Marketing, Sales)
  • Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota
