A manufacturer of industrial Machinery (Welders, Welding Guns) is looking for a Sales & Service Engineer to join the team.

Job Title: Sales & Service Engineer

Employment: Direct-hire, Full-time with GOOD benefit (Medical, Vision, Dental, and Life Insurance )

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary: DOE $60K – $80K

Product Sales

• Calls on decision makers at industrial establishments and attempts to convince prospective client of desirability and practicability of products offered
• Visits existing clients to identify upcoming needs
• Suggests and discusses specification of the equipment based on the client needs, including the PLC communication requirement
• Draws up product sales and service proposals/quotes
• Prepares and presents sales and technical presentations for clients
• Follows up on open quotes
• Follows up on shipping schedule of incoming products for clients
• Inquires technical specification and pricing with the headquarters in Japan.

Product Service

• Provides troubleshooting, evaluation, installation support, or training services to clients relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment on site and/or remotely over the phone, e-mails, or videos.
• Prepares and presents technical and training presentations for clients.
• Recommends parts and equipment replacement for clients based on evaluation of equipment on site.
• Reports to and communicates with the headquarters in Japan for any technical issues and proposals.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in the related field
• 3-5+ years of experience in technical sales, sales engineer, service engineer, or field technician
• Experience of technical presentation and/or training to clients
• Preferred knowledge of industrial controls/PLC’s, electro and mechanical operations, troubleshooting, ethernet, air and electrical schematics
• Preferred experience in automotive OEM/Tier 1 or 2 or factories with automation equipment
• Must be able to travel 50%
• In-office work when not travelling
