Position Summary
To work with Sales staff and all departments to insure maximum revenue, promotional coverage and marketing opportunities are achieved.
The DOSM should work closely with GM in utilizing all the marketing tools made available to them via Hilton and Trason Global to insure all strategies maximize REVPAR and Market Share.
DOSM Duties:
· Maintain and Promote a team work environment with effective communication in all departments
· Ensure the best client services are being made available through communication amongst the team
· Creating a focus on attracting new business.
· Develop and implement a sales plan that will cover the following areas
o LNR and CNR business opportunities for the hotel
o Group leads through our strategic partners;(CCU and CVB for example)
o On line, presence and placement using tools provided by Hilton and Trason to insure our third party opportunities are being maximized.
o Evaluate and drive the hotels participation in various sales channels, Market Sales, Events and electronic leads Etc.
o Local partnerships that will enhance the properties presence in the market
· Set an example with a professional appearance and friendly attitude while working with our clients and co-workers, with timely responses to inquiries from both.
· Work towards the goal of achieving Hotels annual Revenue Budget
· Track flow of business
o Understand the seasonality of the market to develop new business streams
o Manage the mix of business and insure hotel is maximizing all revenue opportunities
o Know what is driving stays in the market during the different seasons

· Develop and target list of new business while researching feeder markets that bring room nights to the area
· Be present on property when large groups, events or new business are arriving. Execute and support the operational aspects of booked business from generating the proposal to contract to customer contact.
· Promote hotel standards and procedures to guests and co-workers
· Monitors all day-to-day activities and reports on them.
Prerequisites:
Proven hotel sales background in regards to both inside and outside sales. High degree of commercial awareness and the ability to understand the difference between sales and profitability. Excellent communication and negotiation skills a must. Strong sense of business and the ability to motivate the people around you. This is an upper management position on the property that will require flexible hours and the ability to work weekends from time to time.
Experience:
3-5 years’ experience in sales and marketing or similar profession. Minimum of 2 years as DOSM in like or similar market.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
