Catering Sales Support Staff

Every role is essential to our success, and we are looking for a detailed oriented professional to join and assist our sales team. Future development as Event Sales Executive within the company is available, and this is a great position to learn the catering world from the ground up and eventually grow into a full time sales person!

Summary/Objective

Support sales staff will directly report to an Lead Event Producer. You will be responsible for supporting an Event Producer with requested tasks, client management and event work.

Essential Functions

As requested Sales Support Staff will provide administrative tasks, respond to inquiries and leads via our website as well as leads from incoming phone calls / emails.

Support Staff do not “sell” the event. Support staff provide conversation by engagement of phone/email and qualify potential leads prior to handing off lead to Event Producer.

Some outbound sales calls may be required from time to time.

Sales Support Staff are also required to work events on an as needed basis.

Sales Support Staff will work with vendor partners for client and internal order needs.

Competencies

Close attention to details

Can work with technology (catering software, project management apps, Google Suite, etc)

Proficient with computers and technology

Flexibility with changing dynamics of work load and responsibilities based on seasonality and growing business needs.

Work Environment

This position operates indoors in a climate controlled office. Event shifts may require outdoor work environments.

This position regularly requires weekday hours and frequent night and weekend work. (Event Work)

Travel

Some travel is expected as we cater throughout the Inland northwest. Hourly Compensation for drive time is provided. Any travel expenses are paid by company.

Preferred Education and Experience

Prior catering/event experience a plus but we will train passionate people!
