What is the role?
An opportunity to join one of the largest and fastest growing equity sales teams on Wall Street as a sales assistant. You would be a crucial operator within our team. All members of our team have been at Jefferies (and on this team) for the majority of our careers. We hope you would consider this role as an exciting place to stay for yours as well.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level administrative support to equity sales team covering institutional hedge funds
  • Assist in account management for and distribution of resources to large institutional equity clients
  • Client interaction with high-level executives; act as liaison with clients and their assistants
  • Maintain team members’ calendars, schedule all meetings and conference calls, field e-mails and phone calls, handle meeting conflicts
  • Prepare and submit expenses via SAP Concur
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, including airfare, hotel arrangements, and car service
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings and conference calls
  • Meet and greet visitors and clients
  • Work remotely (at times) while attending to high profile projects and events
  • Work remotely with team members when they are traveling
  • Coordinate print and production of documents and materials
Qualifications
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel (proficient, advanced knowledge not required but helpful)
  • Experience using SAP Concur preferred
  • Experience working in a high-pressure trading floor environment preferred
  • Highly motivated and proactive self-starter
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior time management, organization, and adaptability skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Quick learner with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to deal with confidential information with a high level of discretion
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of administrative experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills with proficient knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000.
