Full description of the position

Location: New York Metropolitan area; Office location in Manhattan, NY
Employment type: Permanent
Working Hours: Full time (EDT 9-5)
Salary: Dependent on experience up to USD 180,000 + Shares + Benefits

TransFICC is a London-based eTrading technology company providing solutions for the Fixed Income and Derivatives Markets. We are expanding to the US and looking to hire a Pre-Sales professional with a solid technical background.

The role will suit a technically and commercially minded person, exploring client needs and explaining how TransFICC products and services can meet them.


You'll be responsible for the following:

  • Managing proposal, RFI, and RFP responses.
  • Delivering technical discovery sessions with customers and answering relevant questions after liaising with TransFICC's technical staff and partners, including venues.
  • Aligning with key customer stakeholders to help secure technical closure of the proposed solutions.
  • Delivering technical demonstrations and presentations, both in-person and remotely.
  • Building solid relationships with prospects to understand their fixed income trading workflows, where their pain points are and what could make their workflows even more efficient.
  • Efficiently organising internal resources to meet the prospect's needs at each stage of the sales process.
  • Providing feedback to the Product team on trends or consistent requests from prospects that will drive new product innovation and functionality.

To be successful in this role, we require:

  • A technical background that allows the understanding of core technology concepts within TransFICC's products and services.
  • Computer Science or Engineering degree or equivalent domain experience.
  • The ability to assimilate the fixed income trading workflow of prospects, identify pain points and present solutions to clients to meet their needs.
  • Must be based in the New York Metropolitan area and eager to meet clients in person on the US East Coast.
  • A deep understanding of Network administration, Data centres, Firewalls and Encryption.
  • Business know-how around the mechanics behind Electronic Trading.
  • Good communication skills that would enable you to work with internal business stakeholders and external clients.
