SMERF SALES MANAGER
Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, this position involves selling and servicing the social, sports, military, educational, religious, and fraternal market emphasis on the Social (SMERF) segments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Smerf Sales Manager Respond to all assigned RFPs through CVENT, E-mail and phone.
· Maintain Sales Pipeline and follow-up on Inquiries, Prospects, Tentative moving each piece of business through the sales cycle
· Merge Contracts and use appropriate pre-approved Contract Clauses
· Manages customer relationship through drafting proposals, contracts, BEOS, responding to customer inquiries, as well as organizing arrangements as they relate to social and leisure groups.
· Responsible for the development of market segments and solicitation of new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships with previous customers.
· Responsible to achieve budgeted SMERF Market segment revenues/goals for designated quarter/year, will also have a sleeping room goal for period
· Smerf Sales Manager Represents the hotel and conducts conferences with individual customers by telephone or in-person to solicit and close group. Meets with and entertains customers, conducts property tours and promotes facilities and services and within parameters, has discretion to negotiate contracts with customers and commission agreements with vendors.
· Ensures that contracts, menus, letters and reports are completed accurately according to Hotel standards and policies.
· Conduct sales presentations to groups and prospective customers to solicit, explain, negotiate and secure group and local catering business
· Conduct property tours and participate in trade shows, industry and community events to promote facilities and services
· Negotiate services and prices to maximize revenue and profitability according to set guidelines by the Director of Sales
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
