Senior Account Executive (Need to hire ASAP)
Hundred Stories, a boutique PR firm in midtown Manhattan is looking for a full-time Senior Account Executive. The Senior Account Executive (SAE) plays an integral role in the implementation oThe ideal candidate will help drive revenue growth by building a strong pipeline of sales leads and helping create the market strategy. You will be responsible for establishing a strong relationship with new prospects as well as maintaining a strong relationship with existing accounts. Your effective communication and interpersonal skills will help you succeed as a Senior Account Executive.
The senior account executive is the “worker bee”/backbone of every account and provides the necessary day-to-day support and management across all client accounts that includes answering (appropriate) client emails in a timely manner and they are responsible for compiling all account-related material (senior staff reviews/approves) which includes but is not limited to the following:
Press releases, Pitches, Media briefs, Award submissions, Meeting agendas, Meetings recaps, PR reports, Monthly PR reports
Responsibilities
- Build a strong pipeline of prospective clients
- Manage and track client outreach
- Strategize innovative ways to reach new clients
- Communicate strategy to relevant team-members
- Be an EXPERT across all client accounts – if a reporter calls and asks how many units are in a client’s residential property, or the architect of the building you can easily respond
- Pitching and pitch follow-up – story ideas are pitched to as many outlets as possible; if a pitch is successful at one publication, then that’s all the more reason to pitch it to 10 more; provide status updates to senior staff and a roadmap for where pitches have gone and where they are going next
- Press release distribution and follow-ups
- Housekeeping – organize client folder(s), save all photos/materials on the server, clip all placements
- Coordinate/schedule meetings –PR meetings, interviews, meetings with collaborators, etc.
- Researching and presenting appropriate speaking opportunities (i.e. conferences and panel discussions) to clients
- Researching, presenting, and submitting award submissions on behalf of clients
- Manage AAE and junior level team members
- Monitor all media, send links to client teams as soon as a placement is posted, clip all hits and share PDFs with client
- Manage client expectations, ensuring all deadlines are met per strategy/timelines
- Respond to inquiries from media as soon as possible, always providing accurate information
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years' of relevant experience
- Organized and able to multi-task
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, account strategies, providing necessary support for the Account Supervisor (AS) and acting as a role model to the Assistant Account Executive (AAE).
On account teams that lack an AS, the SAE assumes the duties of the AS but reports directly to the Managing Director or Creative Director (or whomever is the most senior team member on the account) and is expected to ask for guidance/feedback on major projects.
