POSITION SUMMARY:

Luxury Fashion Accessories Brand is seeking an Account Executive to join their team in New York City. The Account Executive will apply his or her strong business acumen and impressive interpersonal skills to foster client relationships and achieve established sales targets. The candidate must be positive and personable, with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to multitask. This position will allow the candidate to oversee and direct all aspects of domestic wholesale, direct and e-commerce sales and will allow for daily interaction with the President of Sales and the CEO. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to self-motivate, leadership skills, excellent communication skills and strong organizational skills. Previous experience working with high-profile clients is ideal as the candidate will focus on a portfolio of several top clients.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Manage and grow accounts and cultivate relationships with buyers as well as maintain regular communication with existing accounts.
  • Perform a variety of operational tasks to improve efficiency and ensure that all sales are executed with a heightened level of precision.
  • Provide support for sales orders, logistics and after sales service.
  • Overseeing complete order process, working with operations team to guarantee timely and correct delivery to clients.
  • Collaborate with visual merchandiser to assort buys, create market strategies and increase seasonal bookings.
  • Working with President of Sales to create long and short term business plans that align with company goals. Implement these plans by account to achieve sales and brand goals. Create and execute sales strategy to drive business.
  • Analyzing sales data, such as classification analysis, market share as well as reporting the best sell through styles in terms of designs as well as price points.
  • Maintain all orders including creating batch sheets, reviewing orders for accuracy, replacing dollars lost due to cancellations.
  • Collaborate with accounts to create exclusive product to meet the demands of the customers.
  • Attend trade shows, inventory meetings and presentations.
  • Mentoring and managing Junior Account Executives.
  • Aiding operations team in development of seasonal/replenishment orders, as well as online presence.
  • Making occasional store visits to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Coordinating trunk show calendars.
  • Oversee and optimize inventory management and turn.
  • Assist CEO & President of Sales on Special Projects as needed.
  • Act as an ambassador for the brand; attend brand events.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of applicable experience in luxury wholesale and jewelry is a must.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills – history working with retail performance analytics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Relationships with mid-tiers as well as majors.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Existing relationships with department stores.
  • Experience working with OTB.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven knowledge in national account management.
  • Extremely detail-oriented.
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done; especially when important deadlines and events cause greater than normal pressures.
  • Proven ability to develop client relationships and reach business targets.
  • Strategic approach to achieving objectives.
  • Collaborative team-player.
  • Flexibility to travel to represent the brand at trade shows, domestically as well as internationally, as needed.
