POSITION: Educational Sales Specialist (Inbound and Outbound)

REPORTS TO: Director of Sales

EXEMPT/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt, Full-Time

TalentFill is a fast-growing and forward-thinking Staffing and Recruiting Organization whose primary purpose is to help its clients succeed and grow in an ever-changing business environment. We partner with our clients to provide staffing augmentation, including RPO, Interim and Contract Staffing, and Direct Hire Services. WHAT OUR CLIENT DOES:

STEMfinity is an exciting e-commerce company located in Boise that sells thousands of educational resources, including robotics, drones, 3D printers, virtual learning, and other high-tech products to schools and out-of-school-time programs and direct to consumers throughout the country.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

STEMfinity is looking for a trustworthy, curious, self-motivated team player with strong communications skills passionate about training and developing our youth to grow into healthy, skilled STEM professionals. The primary role of this position is to guide customers through the sales process and provide customers with product and training solutions. The right candidate will be eager to learn, well organized, detail-oriented, and focused on their individual contributions as it relates to the success of the team/company as a whole.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Learn about and gain hands-on experience with the resources we offer continuously
  • Understand and keep up-to-date with ever-changing education market trends
  • Effectively communicate product features and benefits to prospective customers through virtual consultations to ensure they select the right resources for their school/program
  • Develop a keen understanding of customer needs and values to provide personalized assistance throughout the sales process
  • Complete paperwork required by customers for them to place orders with us
  • Set up customers and effectively utilize our CRM system with proper information and documentation
  • Prepare quotes and follow up with customers regarding order submission
  • Enter customer sales orders and provide updates regarding the status of their order
  • Assist customers with return inquiries or support needed after receiving their order
  • Contact potential customers that requested to be contacted to learn more about the resources we offer, including post-trade show leads, as directed by Manager
  • Outbound cold calls to potential customers as directed by Manager
  • Promote STEMfinity at educational technology conferences nationwide
  • Report product and service opportunities based on customer feedback and requests.
  • Respond and promote STEMfinity as a personal brand advocate
  • Research and prepare bids for education customer contracts for review and submission by the supervisor as directed by Manager
  • Other duties as requested to assist team members in completing projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Passion for bringing technology into the classroom
  • Aptitude for working under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Educational sales experience (preferred)
  • Classroom experience and/or a related educational field (preferred)
  • Gmail & Google Drive Applications (preferred)
  • NetSuite CRM (preferred)
  • Technical experience with 3D printers, building and programming robots (preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Frequent speaking, listening, sitting, use of hands/fingers, handling other objects, long periods working at a computer with adequate breaks.
  • This position may require some travel for assistance with Trade shows
