Our Sales team works closely with travel agencies, United travel departments, corporate clients and more to provide phenomenal customer solutions that lead to fruitful business relationships. And through valued customer feedback, optimized partnerships, and innovative sales strategies, Sales continues to be the largest revenue-generating department at United.
The Senior Manager, Account Management will lead, manage, and develop a team of account managers to achieve United's SME corporate sales objectives. Objectives will be achieved through expert coaching and development of sales talent, fostering excellent working relationships with product channel managers and sales marketing, and by applying successful strategies at the portfolio level and within portfolio sub-segments. The team will demonstrate excellent analytical, organizational and communications skills to assess and act upon sales opportunities. Success will require the team to embrace and maximize a hybrid sales/marketing approach, to build relevant customer relationships and to organize their time portfolio management efforts in a way that maximizes United's share and growth potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a highly skilled account management team through expert coaching on portfolio management, effective communication, sales marketing, account strategy, time management and sales tool utilization (including Salesforce CRM platform).
- Develops and implements strategies to improve United's share and revenue.
- Collaborates with Sales Marketing to maximize the use and effectiveness of marketing automation to achieve increased share and revenue.
- Utilizes effective portfolio management and segmentation in order to provide key insights to leadership.
Note: This position provides a hybrid work arrangement including days worked onsite at our Chicago office and remote.

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years sales/airline management experience plus 1 year of managerial experience
- Experience building a successful team
- Sales coaching experience
- Experience utilizing a CRM tool to manage pipeline and sales activities
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship.
