Overview :

Red McCombs Drive Away Motors Central is currently seeking a full time Automotive Sales Professional for our growing dealership. Experience in the Auto industry is preferred, but not required. We will train the right candidate. Successful auto salespeople typically transition well from various other industries including but not limited to : Hospitality, Sales, Military, Management, Finance, Accounting, Construction, Gas and Oil, etc. We would like to interview with candidates who are well spoken, customer oriented, and money motivated !

About Us :

We are a mid-sized dealership with a friendly, easy-going, laid back, "treat you like family" approach to car sales. We are, however, a part of one of San Antonio's largest auto groups; so we have over 800 new and used cars in inventory to sell at any given time, and constant advertising to draw in fresh internet leads and lot traffic. We also share the large auto group's lenders, so we specialize in financing for all possible credit situations. We provide our customers with an approval option every time !

At Drive Away Motors Central, we currently have a small team of 7 salespeople who each average 7 to 15 car deals per month, with average commission per car around $500, paid weekly. We will be expanding our location and team withing the next month in order to keep up with our sales volume and demand. Due to this upcoming expansion, we are actively seeking to add 2 to 3 motivated salespeople to our team.

Automotive Sales Consultant JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Spend time with customers to determine their needs and discuss vehicle options
• Commit to becoming an auto sales expert and gain in-depth knowledge of vehicles and technology
• Test drive vehicles and demonstrate industry leading features
• Complete quotes and explain financing / leasing options for New and Used vehicles
• Follow up with prospective customers and return email / voicemail / phone calls
• Support on-line customers by setting appointments
• Follow up with existing customers to confirm their satisfaction and generate new leads and referrals

• Continuous prospecting for new business using social media, phone calls, and customer retention software

Automotive Sales Consultant JOB REQUIREMENTS

• The ideal candidate must have a strong desire to succeed.
• Prior experience working with customers and providing an exceptional experience. Automotive experience not necessary - we will train the right individual.
• Steady work history and the commitment to starting a new career
• Outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships (i.e., a people person")
• Basic computer, email and internet proficiency
• Excellent appearance, verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills
• Must possess the ability to ask for the sale and follow through
• Saturday availability is needed as well as evening hours
• Valid U.S. Driver's license
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check, DMV screen, and drug screen
