Bison Innovative Products is looking for a dynamic, experienced Sales professional to join our Sales Team as a Regional Sales Representative located in either Portland, Oregon or Eastern state of Washington. Sales Representatives at Bison are responsible for managing and building customer relationships, sales and expanding Bison’s profile within their assigned territory. Sales Representatives report to the North American Sales Manager, and work in tandem with Inside Sales Representatives and Technical Sales Representatives to ensure excellent customer service to all existing and potential customers. Bison strongly emphasizes the importance of data and records and expects that all members of the sales team maintain information regarding leads, sales and projects in Microsoft CRM, as well as providing written updates on progress towards goals to the National Sales Manager.
The ideal Bison Sales Representatives will have experience in the construction, architectural, or engineering industries, with specific knowledge of roofing, green roofing, deck construction, landscape architecture/architecture a plus. Our sales approach also includes delivery of professional training presentations to architects, contractors, designers and others therefore a comfort level with delivering technical information to small groups is necessary. While this is a position where travel is required, Sales Representatives typically only travel one week per month so a comfort level and strong ability to communicate over the phone, via email and other remote communication is essential.

FUNCTION
Bison Outside Sales Representatives are responsible for building customer relationships and sales within their assigned territory. Sales Representatives report to the North American Sales Manager, and work in tandem with Inside Sales Representatives and Technical Sales Representatives to ensure excellent customer service to all existing and potential clients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand and be an expert in Bison’s product lines and applications and able to be an active participant in the promotion and sales of Bison’s products.
- Be the key, lead contact for all sales, projects and training activities within your assigned territory.
- Track all leads, quotes and information in Microsoft CRM and provide regular, written sales reports to the National Sales Manager and VP of Sales.
- Provide support to other team members when needed to ensure all Bison existing and potential customers and clients receive excellent service.
- Work in compliance with the Bison’s established policies and procedures to meet or exceed objectives and goals.
- Travel as necessary to promote the Bison’s products and meet with customers and potential customers
- Conduct training sessions to architectural and specifier communities; distributors and their key personnel; Bison’s sales representatives; qualified contractors; and “on-the-job” consultative training for installing contractors and their personnel, where necessary
- Provide written and oral information about competitors product lines, pricing and marketing strategies.
- Attend and represent Bison at conventions and trade shows.
- Provide input and suggestions for Bison’s marketing and promotional programs.
- Monitor industry trends and customer feedback and provide input and suggestions for additions or improvements to Bison’s product lines.
- Track and follow-up on all leads generated by Bison’s advertising and promotions, making every effort to convert leads to sales.

The Sales Representative work will be deemed to be successful when:
- Sales Goals are met.

- Good working relationships are maintained with coworkers.
- Sales are monitored from the time of inquiry through completion of customer project.
- Data is entered routinely, properly, and accurately.
- Reliability is reflected in good attendance and punctuality.
- Department procedures, company rules, policies and regulations are followed, and business is conducted prudently and ethically.
- The North American Sales Manager is satisfied with the quality and quantity of worked performed and the level of support received from this position.
- All travel and other activities are delivered within an established budget.
REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of five (5) years experience in national sales role
- Professional experience requiring knowledge of general construction concepts
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in Standard American English, both written and oral, with customers, vendors and employees.
- Strong sense of teamwork.
- Ability and willingness to travel at least 1 week per month.
- Ability to compute business math formulas and read and comprehend numerical data
- Experience using computers in a professional environment
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word®, Excel®,)
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and be able to handle continuous interruptions, either from coworkers or by the telephone
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Experience with formal business communications and formats
PREFERED EXPERIENCE
- Experience in landscaping, architectural design and engineering, or other design and construction industries
- Experience with Microsoft CRM, AutoCad, Adobe Creative Suite
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
