This role will create and facilitate an appropriate overall partnership cadence and information flow. This includes meetings to discuss operational success and business reviews. The cadence should be designed to create maximum impact and ensure long-term partnership success. As part of a successful partnership, this individual will be responsible for all contracting and negotiations with clients and ensure overall all parties are meeting their commitments and obligations.

The responsibilities of this position are a combination of a unique blend of high-level business development, listening, analysis, design, and communication skills. As an experienced member of the team, it is expected these responsibilities are well-honed and effective. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Costco, manging private-label products.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management and overall strategy of client relationship
  • Create and foster executive alignment with key client leaders
  • Develop and help to execute internal strategy and direction
  • Demonstrate the fundamental understanding necessary to establish an overarching plan and spur the improvement of company processes.
  • Facilitate regular in person executive business reviews
  • Partner with clients leadership team to drive prioritization of and strategies around necessary resourcing
  • Strong retail private label CPG background with large western U.S. retailers and wholesalers.
  • Thorough understanding of the private label process: RFP, packaging development, forecasting and execution of goals.
  • Provide escalation management across all areas of business
  • Identify and manage strategic opportunity pipeline for the partnership

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must have prior experience working with Costo managing private label items.
  • 7+ years of experience in managing complex retailer relationships.
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate retail role(s).
  • Proven track record in developing a strong technical competency across complex product offerings.
  • Executive level written and oral communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

  • Must have an extensive background with Costco and Alberston’s, managing private label CPG items.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to comprehend and handle unstructured issues.
  • Strong aptitude for numerical reasoning and ability to work with unstructured data sets.
  • The ability to identify and prioritize key issues and workstreams.
