A Day in the Life of a Sales Manager
As a Sales Manager, you will be expected to interact with high-level professionals, successfully maintain a reasonable personal sales quota as well as manage a small team of local sales reps. You will also be expected to outline and track daily tasks, which will include things like contacting new leads, setting and executing follow-up appointments, and monitoring daily account progression/activity.
Responsibilities
- Work 40 hours a week (Monday-Friday) (Hybrid but must be willing to drive to designated areas)
- Must attend all required team meetings and company training
- Maintain dress and appearance on par with company standards (uniform provided)
- Utilize company tools at your disposal to track the following: leads contacted, decision-makers pitched, applications submitted, documents uploaded, and signed deals
- Contact approximately 60 new leads a week. This may vary based on area.
- Work with your regional manager and other company representatives to provide feedback, and improve processes
- Months 1-2: Submit 1-4 new applications per week (specifics provided upon request)
- Months 3 forward: Complete 4 signed deals per month
- Other specifics metrics will be outlined by your Regional Director
Qualifications
- 1-2+ years of Management experience
- Must have a reliable vehicle and be willing to drive to designated areas
- Must have a cell phone with data
- Previous outbound/prospecting sales experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft (or similar platforms)
- Proven skills in business development, problem-solving, critical thinking, and relationship building
- Knowledge of basic accounting terms
- Goal-oriented
