Assistant Sales Manager

The Assistant Sales Manager position offers a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual looking to build his or her own business and grow into a sales leadership role. Partnerships and training from experienced managers in the insurance industry provide a clear upward track to develop into a larger leadership role. This position is designed for candidates with a background in business or sales, and motivation to build an uncapped business with both flexibility and freedom.

Core Duties & Responsibilities for the role will be broken down into 3 parts:

Individual Expectations:

• Recruit 3 new Agency Sales Reps/ Quarter
• Produce 12 new cases & 220k in a calendar year in personal production (prorated)
• Speak knowledgeably on Colonial’s & Competitor’s product offering
• Attend the District Development Program
• Lead Call Clinics & Set monthly 1 on 1 meetings

Training & Coaching Expectations: 3-6 months from contract date proficiency in coaching on the following topics:

• Prospecting & Lead Generation
• Appointment Setting Decision Maker Presentations
• Post-Enrollment Follow Ups

Technology Software Systems Mastery Expectations:

• Learn Benefit Administration Systems such as Employee Navigator, EASE, & ENGAGE or Gather.
• Mastery level knowledge of Agent Assist
• Mastery of Linkedin and other marketing tools for prospecting.

This role will work with leadership on such projects as:

• Design a tailored training program specific for our market
• Bring new ideas to increase production
• Work with ADM to develop Broker Relationships
• Create a game plan for hitting quarterly sales goals
• Track & improve weekly production through Agent Assist Metrics & KPIs
