Sales & Applications Engineer

Position Summary:
Diversified Manufacturing is seeking a knowledgeable applications engineer to support our growing sales and design efforts to develop custom heat transfer solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical sales support to clients with detailed layouts and cost analysis.
• Provide engineering department support by generating accurate designs utilizing heat exchanger software, ASME Code software or other methods.
• Assist in development of accurate engineering specifications for design and/or procurement of subsystems, components, and engineering services.
• Assist in development of written proposals, instructions, manuals, and other documentation that may be distributed to customers or internal users.
• Assist design engineering with the development of schematics or drawings.
• Review documents such as customer design specifications and requests to determine feasibility of design and applicability.
• Generate cost estimates, quotations and perform the necessary follow-up activities to facilitate new business.

Knowledge, Skills, and Education:

• BS in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or Mechanical/Chemical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum 2 years related work experience in related industry.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and sales proposals.
• Proven record of accomplishment in generating innovative and practical ideas.
• Team player with innovative ideas and attention to detail.

Helpful Experience:

• Heat Exchangers: Shell & Tube, Extended Surface, Bar & Plate, Air Cooled products.
• Project management
• ASME Code
• MS Office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $61,380.20 per year

• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:
