We are currently looking for a Business Development Specialist to drive the expansion of our game-changing casting technology. The Entertainment Partners Casting Portal is the world’s leading technology for streamlining the process of finding and managing background artists. Revolutionizing and dominating the UK & US markets we are looking for an ambitious salesperson to drive sales and adoption of the technology throughout North America. This Business Development Specialist will be able to uncover opportunities for new business as well as maintain client satisfaction levels in purchased services/products to help EP meet its sales targets. This is a key team role helping support the sales process through to the project setup ensuring a successful hand off to other internal EP support teams. They should be able to articulate and demonstrate the value proposition of EP products and services developing client relationships in repeat customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate experienced sales skill set including:
  • Complete understanding of EP’s product and service offering with ability to articulate sales value proposition to clients
  • Understanding of sales client target prospecting practices – documenting leads and opportunities and ensure complete information data sets are captured with timely follow up
  • Gather and understand customer goals, plans, challenges, timeline, budget including key decision maker roles
  • Overcome client objections
  • Strive to continuously improve your sales process and demonstrate a willingness to learn and implement best practices
  • Supplement your pipeline by completing lead generating activities including research into territories and competitor landscape prior to approaching clients
  • Able to uncover opportunities for new business across other EP Products and work with colleagues to further these
  • Manage inbound & outbound sales and own the complete sales cycle from initial prospect to close for a specific regional area
  • Work with the marketing division to lead in the development of an inbound strategy, always thinking ‘outside the box’ for new ideas
  • Lead software demos for casting agents/directors/agencies on live production sets/offices
  • Meet set monthly and quarterly commercial targets

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or industry/job experience equivalent
  • Minimum five years prior relevant experience, in client service preferred
  • Entertainment industry experience preferred, specifically entertainment Production experience
  • 2+ years of SaaS sales experience
  • A proactive approach to researching and prospecting leads
  • Friendly, yet tenacious, personality: You don’t readily accept “no” for an answer and you know how to positively engage people without being “that annoying, pushy salesperson”
  • Seeks out constructive feedback as a means of personal and professional development
  • Not afraid to get your hands dirty and work from the bottom up
  • High initiative self-starter with a positive attitude

  • Highly collaborative team member (our sales team works together - not against each other- to hit our goals)
  • Report and operate cross functionally as part of a separate business line in a larger organization
  • Passion for fully understanding the industry prior to contacting any clients
  • Experience in lead qualification and development practices; our ideal clients are assessed on quality over quantity
  • High aptitude for problem solving with the ability to uncover customer pain with high degree of diplomacy
  • 2 years basic negotiation experience in an entry level or equivalent experience sales role
  • Goal-oriented, driven by a large appetite to ‘win’
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, always showing respect for the client and for fellow employees
  • Learning agility and action orientation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with client facing acumen
  • Ability to collaborate and work with team and other departments effectively
  • Ability to analyse, demonstrate sound decision making and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task as well as handle multiple client issues at a time
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

The annual salary range for this position is $87,900- $115,000 and is commensurate with experience related to the position.
