Job Description
Job Title: Manager, Retail
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Retail
Position Summary: This individual will be responsible for executing against the retail strategy and day-to-day operations of the retail division, which currently includes the on-campus bookstore, pro shop, shopimg.com and event and campus pop up stores.
Position Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute the strategic retail plans and execution, multiple retail stores and day-to-day operations including the campus bookstore, [please apply online] tennis racket stringing shop and golf tour studio.
  • Supervise, manage, and train all employees across all points of sale on campus to be customer service oriented and give the customer the best experience.
  • Develop and maintain a schedule for employees that follows along with the seasonal flows of the retail business
  • Actively engaged in efforts to help build and expand retail outlets to promote more business and diversify product lines.
  • Maintain inventory levels to ensure that each point of sale is supplied and stocked by developing a purchasing plan that stays within budget and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
  • Having the ability to analyze and predict sales and market trends to make informed decisions and maximize efficiency and profits.
  • Proficient in creating an online shopping environment across all points of sale to service our customers who are not on campus.
  • Conduct training and coaching for employees to align with IMG Academy’s purpose.
  • Recruit customer service minded individuals who will work to provide a positive customer experience and drive revenue.
  • Providing insights on customer shopping trends to support assortment selection and identify assortment gaps
  • Ability to understand insights to manage and execute promotional campaigns.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
  • HS Degree or the equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of retail sales and the sales cycle as well as inventory management
  • Knowledge of personnel administration and business management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, students, and fellow employees.
  • Ability to supervise the work of others.
Preferred Skills
  • 5+ years in retail sales environment
  • Bilingual
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
  • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
  • Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
