*Job Description – National Account Executive - Ace Hardware and Do it Best – Cleaning Platform*

Location – Vernon Hills, IL
Reports to: Sr. Director of Sales, Hardware Distribution
The National Account Executive for the Cleaning Platform, will be responsible for driving a sustainable and profitable business for the Cleaning platform. This position is responsible for working with the Ace Hardware and Do it Best’s internal sales team and as such will have dotted line responsibility to the Director of Ace Hardware. They will work in conjunction the both teams along with our external merchant team to exceed sales goals, increase new distribution, develop and execute promotional strategies as well as financial accountability to meet Rust-Oleum’s profitability targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities as it relates to the Cleaning platform at Ace Hardware and Do it Best:
- Sales lead for the Cleaning platform. Responsible for establishing strategies that ensure exceeding GTO and profit margin targets.
- Lead on internal corporate initiatives including business updates, RPM responses, forecast and supply chain updates.
- Work as project lead cross functionally along with category management, distribution, marketing, trade, customer service, forecasting and finance to deliver on Ace Hardware and Do it Best’s growth objectives.
- Work with internal Ace Hardware and Do it Best team to provide analysis of sell through/POS data and market intelligence to ensure successful product/program performance.
- Direct reports include one Co-op Manager. Additional collaboration will happen with Director of Sales, Ace Hardware and Do it Best NAE’s for paint and Ali.
- Trade Show and key customer involvement.
- Coaching and people development.
- Continually drive a culture of transparency, accountability, trust and high performance to achieve Rust-Oleum’s goals.
*Requirements:*

- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 10+ years of related sales leadership experience with a track record of delivering sustainable and profitable sales growth with Mass Merchandiser, Home Center or Hardware channels of distribution
- Demonstrated experience in leading complex projects and customer programs from conception, start to finish
- Significant sales leadership managing strategic customers with full P&L management
- Demonstrated success in building high trust with customers
- Experience with the ability to lead, coach and mentor a highly driven, successful customer team
- Strong analytical skills and ability to convert analytical information into sales tools to promote sales and profit goals
