We are looking to hire a detail-oriented, computer-savvy individual for a customer service position. The ideal candidate will need to be a quick learner, professional on the phone, and have a positive attitude.
In this role, you will interact directly with our customers to answer questions, solve problems, provide education, enroll, and renew policies and maintain our company’s reputation for high-quality service. You will need to be open to grow and learn quickly.
You will have weekends and evenings off, benefits including health insurance, a company-matching retirement plan, paid vacation, company parties, birthday happy hours, and more!
You must have or be able to obtain your Life & Health and Property & Casualty insurance licenses right away. If you are not licensed, for the right candidate, Get Benefits will pay for your training and any fees to acquire your licenses. On the job training for your role is also included.
We are a fun and friendly team at Get Benefits, and the environment in our office is fun, laid-back, and dedicated. We provide lunch on Wednesdays and take a break on Fridays for our team meeting, which includes company updates, jokes, a bagel and watching a sitcom. You might even find yourself in the middle of a Nerf battle!
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Promptly respond to all customer questions
- Process policy enrollment and renewals
- Utilize company policies and procedures to document important information and record notes of all customer contact in company database
- Suggest insurance solutions to meet the customer’s specific needs
- Follow company procedures for helping with customer inquiries and policies
- Follow communication guidelines and policies
- Foster and maintain relationships with customers
- Go the extra mile to assist coworkers
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 or more year(s) of experience in insurance, preferably health insurance (not life)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented, well organized and ability to prioritize work
- Positive and service-oriented attitude
- Comfortable with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Programs
- Excellent phone disposition
- Ability to work with minimal direction
- Hold or obtain California Department of Insurance licenses (Life and Health and Property and Casualty)
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Well experienced with Windows and Microsoft Office environment
- Spanish speaking a plus but not a requirement

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
