ROLE SUMMARY:
The Director of Small Format Retail Sales for AB ONE is responsible for leading our efforts to build and implement retail strategies to deliver our commercial priorities across AB ONE markets within our Small Format business including the Convenience and Package Liquor channels. In this role, you will work directly with AB ONE Key Account teams to implement a structured retail sales process designed to understand performance opportunities, build local account plans and develop category strategies to drive growth for AB ONE brands. This role will work cross functionally with our internal and external partners and develop relationships with local customers to execute AB ONE sales objectives including, volume, share, distribution, shelf space and promotion opportunities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Implement AB ONE Retail Sales Process across Divisions to support improved communication and execution of key chain initiatives within the Small Format channel
  • Work closely with AB ONE Retail Sales Directors to develop strategic retail plans to drive incremental sales and share gains for A-B
  • Collaborate with local teams to develop and manage annual account plans for chain accounts with the AB ONE territory
  • Work with local Division teams to develop, sell, and implement custom created promotional programs to targeted retail chains
  • Work with Key Account teams to meet local chain retailer’s sales and distribution annual business plans by developing off-premise chain account programming where needed
  • Prepare and present business reviews to AB ONE chains, often at senior levels in their organization using category management principals to influence a retailers overall strategic management of the beer category
  • Communicate sales results to AB ONE management team to ensure execution of retail plans and promotions and uncover opportunities to improve Anheuser-Busch volume and market share performance
  • Recruit, coach train, and mentor AB ONE retail Key Account Managers and Sales Directors to improve chain account performance
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree is required, an emphasis in business is preferred.
  • Sales experience in consumer goods to retail chain accounts preferred.
  • Knowledge of retail selling initiatives such as category management and information-based selling.
  • General knowledge of beverage industry and direct store delivery.
  • Thorough understanding of beer wholesaler operations and retail sales execution.
  • High level of expertise with analyzing information.
  • Advanced computer software proficiency (word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint, internet).
  • Effective communications/presentation, follow-up, administrative and organizational skills.
