THE POSITION:
Way-Tech Process Solutions is looking for a high energy, results focused individual for the following role: Pacific Northwest area home based (located in either Washington State or Oregon) Technical Sales Representative position responsible for territory of Washington and Oregon, reporting to president.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Identify market potential by qualifying prospect accounts
· Schedule appointments, make presentations and determine/understand prospect account requirements
· Explain features, benefits, capabilities and applications of product line
· Build rapport, credibility and trust with prospect accounts.
· Management of pricing and margins according to agreed strategy
· Maintain an effective follow-up management regime for all opportunities in the sales funnel to ensure all opportunities are carried through until completion
· Service and grow existing accounts and develop new prospect accounts
· Manage supplier procurement activities
· Manage marketing and promotional materials
· Industry conference and exhibition participation as necessary
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum of five years experience selling mechanical equipment into industrial markets.
· Engineering/technologist oriented education preferred
· Proven track record of sales and account management success
· Excellent interpersonal/ relationship building skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Technical/mechanical aptitude are a must. Knowledge of industrial mechanical equipment.
· Candidate must be energetic, self-motivated and willing to learn and gain proficiency in our extensive product line.
· Very strong personal organizational skills
· Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
· Able to thrive in a team environment as well as work alone with minimum supervision
· Personal vehicle drivers license and own vehicle for business use.
· Willingness to travel within Pacific Northwest up to 30%
COMPENSATION:
Salary $70,000 - $90,000+ per year base plus commission
Personal vehicle mileage.
Home based role with flexible working conditions. Candidate to be located in either Washington State or Oregon.

We have been in business since September 1987. To best serve our customers we have three office locations; Vancouver, BC, Calgary, AB and Winnipeg, MB. We service our territory from Thunder Bay, Ontario through to the West Coast and have expanded to the Pacific Northwest in recent years.
Major industries we serve are: Food Processing, Pulp & Paper, Bulk Terminals, Primary Metals, Mining, Grain Processing, Feed Milling, Chemical, Plastics and Recycling. We specialize in providing process solutions for powders and bulk solids. The majority of the product lines we handle are on an exclusive basis as we take great pride in having a very close working relationship with our suppliers as well as our customers.
