Vander-Bend Manufacturing is a vertically integrated Contract Manufacturer specializing in low and medium volume component and product manufacture for the Medical, Semiconductor, data, telecommunications, and related industries. We have California facilities in San Jose, Santa Clara, Stockton, and Rancho Cordova. We also have locations in Wheeling, IL and a new location in the Atlanta, GA area. We serve the manufacturing needs of over 200 companies in Silicon Valley and beyond, producing Sheet Metal, Machined Parts, Cable Assembly, and Electro-Mechanical and Electronic Assemblies.


Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the voice of the customer in leading and prioritizing tactical and strategic initiatives for the Customer Focus Business Unit ( CFBU ).
  • Tracking and document deliverables while cross collaborating with planning, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, shipping, quality, outside processing and expeditors to ensure On Time Delivery of products.
  • Responsible for internal and external Key Performance Indicators ( KPI ) performance metrics and driving customer success initiatives.
  • Consistently provides positive customer relations and superior service.
  • Provide excellent customer service by recognizing and responding appropriately to internal and external customer requests in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Ability to handle and solve complex customer interactions.
  • Processes requests for quotes and initiates order placement.
  • Processes customer change requests and reviews customer open order reports.
  • Investigates and resolves problems related to new orders, shipments of products, discrepant material, and billing.
  • Maintains customer records and associated databases.
  • Determines sales opportunities within current customers.
  • Verify and communicate monthly forecasted sales targets to finance department.
  • Responsible for contacting customers regarding schedule changes to maintain the on-time delivery KPI.
  • May require working with the Planning department to change the manufacturing work order and customer commit dates for customer pushouts, pull ins and or cancellations to match newly negotiated delivery dates.

Job Requirements:

  • Requires a related degree or minimum 5 years of experience as an Account/Program Manager or representative in an intensive customer service-oriented field.
  • Must possess a strong sense of ownership and urgency and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Requires excellent arithmetic skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Company operations, and services.
  • Excellent presentation skills and active listening abilities.
  • This position requires strong problem-solving skills.
  • A valid California driver’s license, registration, and auto insurance are required.
