Full description of the position

Cadent powers the evolution of TV brand advertising. We provide marketers, agencies, operators, and media owners with data-driven solutions for buying and selling TV advertising. By connecting brands with opportunities across national inventory sources—cable, broadcast, and digital media—our technology improves efficiencies and boosts the results of linear, addressable, and cross-screen campaigns.

Right now we are looking for an exceptional Senior Account Executive for our Platform Sales Team. The primary focus of this role will be driving new customer acquisition and new sales revenue for the Cadent Platform Solutions by owning the end to end sales cycle for an agreed list of target customers on the buy-side (independent agencies, brand/retail advertisers, DTC etc) of video advertising.

This position is within Cadent Platform Sales but works closely with Media Sales, Client Success, Marketing and Product teams, will be responsible for evangelizing the unique value of Cadent’s Audience Studio Platform (Graph, Data Marketplace and Activation Integrations) to the leading buy side independent agencies and directly with brands/DTC companies. Cross-sell media activation via our TV DSP and/or managed media solutions.


What You Will Do:

  • Evangelize the benefits of Cadent’s Audience Studio and DSP/media solutions with key decision makers at assigned targets.
  • Establish partnerships with buy-side customers, starting with Cadent’s identity graph and data marketplace.
  • Help build a differentiated platform narrative and position for Cadent in the hyper-competitive buy side ad tech ecosystem.
  • Facilitate driving demand for Cadent’s Platform Solutions via an existing book of business supplemented with direct outreach and prospecting
  • Account management of assigned new customer wins working in partnership with client success.
  • Manage the complete demand facilitation process for hybrid (self/managed service) activity. This includes prospecting, RFI/RFP responses, proposal creation/submission, order closing and servicing clients.
  • Work closely with the Client Success, Product Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams and other key stakeholders to communicate business requirements of our customers.
  • Collaborate with Media Sales to develop channel relationships or managed media path to self service
  • Understand partner and customer needs to align expectations and provide feedback/market input that will strengthen the Cadent’s value proposition.
  • Collaborate with the Platform leadership team and other sellers to develop weekly activity reports, Account Plans, KPI targets and performance goals.
  • Achieve or exceed revenue goals.

Your Skills:

Ideal candidate for position will have experience prospecting, negotiating and closing SaaS and transactional based deals from an existing book of business for data-based products and services on the buy-side within the agency and advertiser ecosystem. Specifically, this would include:

  • 8+ years of Identity, onboarding, platform and/or data sales, with a focus on Independent agencies and retail/brand/DTC advertisers
  • Deep knowledge of the advanced TV/data-driven linear/CTV/OTT/linear addressable ecosystem
  • Strong relationships with senior decision makers at independent agency and DTC/brand companies.
  • Superior presentation/demo skills at the executive level, great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience building customer relationships and driving revenue
  • Ability to think strategically about growing annual account revenue
  • Strong customer and market focus with an ability to influence decision makers to take - action
  • Adaptable in the face of constant change and ability to perform at a high level; problem solving and identifying solutions when faced with challenges
  • Self-starter capable of flourishing in an entrepreneurial environment

The full-time annual base salary ranges for this role are listed below, by location. We take into consideration an individual’s background and experience in determining final salary. Please note, this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Cadent is willing to pay at the time of this posting. All regular Cadent employees are eligible for a target bonus, health insurance, 401(k), life insurance and disability benefits, Flexible Time Off (FTO), special leaves that include disability, parental, and family care leave, and a wide array of voluntary benefits including pet insurance.

Location is New York City

$110,000 - $125,000

This information is provided per the New York City Human Rights Law. Base pay range information is based on market location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the base pay range associated with that location.
