Entry Level Steel Salesperson

We are seeking a Sales Representative to grow with the company and provide support to the sales team. The successful candidate will possess the below skills and experience, however similar skills and experience would be considered for the right candidate. This is an onsite position based in Toledo, Ohio.

Qualifications

• Degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field preferred. Comparable education and experience will be considered.
• Drive and determination to work hard to achieve results.
• Sales and customer relations focus with strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively handle conflict.
• Ability to learn the steel industry and an obsession for great customer service.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including use of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• During training, this role will learn about the products and services that are offered, as well as how to directly interact with our clients’ customers.
• Create and grow customer base by making calls to establish relationships and build your business portfolio from the ground up.
• Be honest and proactive in all communications, both internal and external. Communicate with sales staff and management to relay customer service needs.
• Ensure excellent customer service by working directly with our customers and following up with them to ensure their needs are met.
• Provide ongoing progress updates on new business development activities and other key indicators to the management team.
• Attend meetings, sales events, conventions and training seminars to keep abreast of the latest market conditions and developments.

This position will require travel. Position is based in Toledo, Ohio.
