Full description of the position

Kolbe & Kolbe Millwork Company, Inc. is recognized throughout the industry as a leader in the manufacturing of custom, superior quality windows and doors that can be found in some of the most visionary residences and commercial projects in North America. We are currently seeking a Territory Manager to service and develop our dealers and distributors in the geographic region that includes Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, West Virginia, and Virginia.

Scope:

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for managing channel partner accounts, including one-step distributors, two-step distributors, and direct dealers, as well as increasing Kolbe brand awareness and helping to drive sales through our channel partners by generating specifications for our products and providing the highest level of customer service to the architectural, design, and construction community.

Responsibilities:

1. Represent Kolbe Windows & Doors in a professional manner and in accordance with our corporate strategic objective.

2. Support and execute corporate, sales and marketing strategic plan.

3. Establish and maintain high-level relationships with our channel partners.

4. Develop a yearly strategic business plan with channel partners.

5. Assist in the development of channel partners’ salespeople through product and ProQuote training.

6. Research and identify potential new channel partners.

7. Research and identify architects, designers, builders, facility managers, and other key decision makers that may influence the specification of Kolbe Window & Door products.

8. Perform cold calls, scheduled calls, and blitzes with architects, designers, builders, facility managers, and other key decision makers that may influence the specification of Kolbe Window & Doors products.

9. Establish and maintain high-level relationships with architects, designers, builders, facility managers, and other key decision makers that may influence the specification and purchase of Kolbe Windows & Door products with the objective to push business through our channel partners.

10. Organize and deliver product presentation and AIA Continuing Education Courses.

11. Establish and maintain a preference and loyalty for the Kolbe brand.

12. Assist architects with specification writing, architectural details, and performance ratings.

13. Represent Kolbe Windows & Doors at local, regional, and national trade shows as needed.

14. Effectively communicate appointment/meeting outcomes in weekly market reports, as well as communicate current trends, market conditions, and competitor information (products, marketing, sales tactics).

15. Record all contacts in SharePoint database.

16. Communicate leads to channel partners.

17. Follow up on all leads passed along to channel partners.

18. Stay up to date on all aspects of Kolbe Windows & Doors.

19. Stay up to date on competitor strategies and market trends.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an architectural consultant or a related sales position

Qualifications:

1. Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and active listening.

2. Excellent presentation skills to small and large groups.

3. Excellent analytical skills.

4. Additional qualifications/skills that are needed to be successful in this position:

a. Ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization

b. Read blue prints and complete take-offs

c. Respond to requests quickly and systematically

d. Handle multiple projects at one time

e. Meet deadlines

f. Prioritize and maintain a proactive schedule while remaining flexible in order to quickly respond to customer needs and adapt to environmental changes

g. Respond to objections

h. Travel overnight

i. Work some weekends (trade shows)

j. Lift samples and literature up to twenty-five pounds

k. Ability to perform service work in the field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
