How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Strategic Account Manager

  • Seattle, WA or Vancouver, WA
  • Frequent travel required throughout assigned territory, $550 per month car allowance and mileage reimbursement provided.
  • Pay scale : $84,940 to $115,612 annually depending on experience, 15% target annual bonus

  • See more at: [please apply online] As Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for retaining existing customers, expanding “wallet share” in existing customers and adding new customers. The target customer is national or strategic in scope, with multiple sites/states and a minimum annual spend. You will work in a coordinated fashion with Area Vice Presidents, District Managers, Sales Specialists and Account Managers to achieve goals in selling Airgas’ complete value and product offering to include on-site generation, gases, welding consumables, safety products / PPE and abrasives.
In particular, you will:
  • Actively pursue and acquire, on an on-going basis, new and competitive accounts with emphasis on gases through product supply agreements.
  • Develop proposals, presentations and pricing agreements for strategic accounts.
  • Analyze existing regional company customer database; identify potential within that database and develop strategies for acquiring/enhancing this business.
  • Schedule joint sales calls Airgas Specialists, Account Managers and District Managers.
  • Prepare annual sales analysis and forecasts, and provide market and competitor information to your manager.

Are you a MATCH?
  • Bachelors degree from four year college or university, preferably in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management with emphasis in sales or marketing
  • SAP or similar software experience; Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Five or more years successful experience in outside sales with a successful track record of exceeding sales expectations.
  • Experience in negotiating, implementing, and following contractors and/or PSAs.
  • Reliable transportation and good driving record.
