Job Description
As an important member of the Client Services team, this individual will play a key role in supporting Visa’s revenue goals and commercializing Visa products and solutions by closely partnering with the regional acquirer, acquirer processor and merchant sales teams and key functional teams (Client Services, Product, Regional Sales Operations, Global Merchant Sales & Acquiring) across Visa.
Through supporting the needs of this strategic Visa client segment, the Global Acceptance Center of Excellence (GACOE) has a major impact on delivering strategic objectives by bringing acceptance subject matter expertise to solve key business challenges and identifying opportunities through collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
This role will work closely with cross-functional and regional management teams to make recommendations on a wide variety of strategic projects and initiatives, bringing timely and valuable insights, as well as creating content for internal and external forums, lead presentations for internal approvals, client discussions and industry events, lead key client advisory forums and ongoing product roadmap socialization and feedback loops.
The ideal candidate will be able to independently translate high level guidance into detailed deliverables. Good interpersonal skills and executive presence are a must.
Essential Functions
The employee is responsible for, but not limited to -
- Creating processes for and managing new client memberships and certification/ onboarding of Visa Ready partners, collaborating with cross functional SMEs
- Organizing client advisory groups, in partnership with Product, Acceptance Solutions, Product Platforms, Sales and Sales Support teams
- Assessing implementation viability of network changes with processors/ acquirers. Collaborating with Client Services teams to prioritize deliverables
- Championing acquiring and merchant client business needs and priorities within Visa product development and x-functional roadmaps and direction
- Representing client and business risks as Global Merchant Sales & Acquiring team’s delegate to approve New Business Initiative Assessments, waivers/ variances for all Rules and Risk proposals/ programs and client communications
- Researching global Product and Solutions initiatives underway and actively coordinating client and multi-region feedback, as well as coordinating go to market activities
- Supporting the delivery of projects or major project workstreams related to Global and Regional MSA’s strategy or corporate initiatives, including creating an information repository of best practices on high priority topics
- Supporting Acquirer, Processor, FinTech, non-FI clients and internal leadership on the changing environment for Visa’s distributors, landscape/ opportunity analyses, product and solution opportunities, and recommended actions to address our dynamic client needs.
- This position is located in our Atlanta office and relocation assistance may not offered.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of
- experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with
- 9+ years of experience
- Deep payments industry experience, cross functional work experience with
- leading Acquirers and Processors and knowledge of Visa and its products/
- services preferred. Experience engaging with merchants and other acceptance
- stakeholders in global/ regional roles is desirable
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize
- information and make clear, concise recommendations on course of action
- Excellent project management skills – ability to manage complex timelines
- and multiple simultaneous projects
- The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, results-oriented individual with
- superior analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
- Strategic and analytical thinker, able to move seamlessly from high level
- concepts to details and solutions with limited guidance
- Process and solutions-oriented project manager with a high attention to detail and demonstrated experience executing deliverables on schedule
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required. Comfortable working
- with data and reporting tools such as Dynamics, etc.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 140,600.00 to 182,800.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
