About the role:
Carrier is looking for an Associate Director – Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning that will be responsible for developing the SIOP strategies for Carrier Fire and Security. The role will work with the subprocess representatives to ensure that their current process practices are well-aligned with the goals of the overall SIOP process. This person will lead a team of peers in developing and improving SIOP processes, policies, and tools. Standardization is key in this role to create a best-in-class SIOP organization.
Technical Competencies

- Global end-to-end supply chain and operations process knowledge
- Hands-on experience working in popular Planning tools (SAP/Oracle etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as the leader and functional owner of the development and refinement of short and long-term process maturity plans
- Develops, implements, and maintains an effective production planning process throughout F&S in conjunction with the functional SIOP leaders.
- Improves Supply Planning processes and proactively manage projects to improve efficiency and longer-term planning
- Identifies process requirements for supply risks and develop mitigation plans and recommendations for corrective action to secure supply and service levels. Identifies and communicates constraints that may impact the achievement of the business demand
- Develops an inventory policy based on risk assessment and control finished goods and raw material levels to manage downstream and upstream shocks
- Utilizes a collaborative and consensus approach to obtain and align accurate information for supply planning.
- Develops Demand – Supply gap assessment and escalation process to support margin maximization.
- Owns and manages the Supply planning systems and tools
- Prepares and maintains relevant F&S level reports on SIOP
- Lead the global implementation of key system platforms focusing around forecast accuracy and end-to-end supply chain management
- Create and drive a continuous improvement mindset by implementing policies and procedures through FSP’s global business units
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10+ years of experience and progressive growth in Supply Chain / SIOP / Materials Management
- 5+ years of experience in incorporating strategy and consultation in materials management planning
- 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, and/or industry technology tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Engineering/Mathematics
- Kinaxis highly preferred
- MBA preferred
- Experience in Commodity Supply chain is a plus
- Must be a self-starter that can lead team members that both reports directly into them as well as indirect team members
- Continuous improvement mind-set and overall strategic thinker required.
- Must enjoy and be proficient in working with numbers, scenario analytics, and mining for insights, and have demonstrated planning, analytical and problem-solving skills with proven experience using qualitative and quantitative research to guide sound business decisions.
- Ability to think strategically and broadly about the business while fully understanding the details, workflows, systems, and near-term issues facing the organization
- Strong ability to communicate complex and controversial topics and concepts to a broad and diverse audience and be confident in high-profile communications, including presentation skills and group facilitation.
- Ability to develop strong rapport at all levels of the company to build collaboration and alignment cross-functionally and influence senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to be both a team player and a leader, focused on making a positive impact on the organization.
