Full description of the position
Overview:
Sales Activity- Prepares and implements action plans to ensure effective search of new corporate and social group sales leads and prospects. Initiates and coordinates the rebooking of existing social groups while finding new corporate and social business. Provides timely, accurate, proposals on all Group Requests, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin and preserve rate integrity. Maintains a strong business relationship with all Canyon Ranch customers. Maintains contact with all clients in the market to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. Works closely with group coordinator in the execution of contracts for all bookings.
Lead Generation: Generates group business for corporate and social groups through active solicitation, incoming phone and email inquiries, as well as group leads provided by Regional Sales Managers, past group leads, in-house guests. Meets or exceeds all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and production.
Administrative- Develops a business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability. Provides timely reporting to Director of Sales regarding forecasting and performance. Maintains accurate records of all sales activities, leads and bookings in Salesforce.
Supervision: The incumbent performs a variety of routine work within established policies and procedures, and receives detailed instructions on new projects and assignments. Makes decisions within area of responsibility.
Knowledge
Demonstrates an understanding of the philosophy of Canyon Ranch and its practical application.
Skills
Demonstrates excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Demonstrates strong business acumen.
Proficient in space/booking software; experience with Delphi or Delphi FDC.
Skilled in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Abilities
Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively.
Ability to develop & maintain strong working relationships with guests, vendors, government agencies.
Ability to handle stressful situations.
Ability to travel and work with business and travel industry partners.
Demonstrated ability to execute Sales with proven revenue results.
