The Sales Manager is responsible for supervising and organizing our sales team. The sales manager develops and coaches the sales team, develops our selling techniques and playbook, fosters camaraderie among the team, handles hiring and firing, training, conducts regular assessments, and tracks daily activities within the sales team.
The individual will manage and work closely with sales staff and Regional Director to meet goals set forth by the company. Doing so will require developing, writing, and publishing company-specific training materials to facilitate goals and assist salespeople. To demonstrate the success of these procedures, you will also be expected to collect and interpret data regarding training processes and salespeople’s performance. Direct and support your team in providing outstanding communication and service while assisting in resolving issues that may arise. The Sales Manager will report directly to the CEO. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement strategies designed to increase sales team productivity
- Established/Build sales budget and determine best strategy for achieving them.
- Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls.
- Work with marketing to drive consistent and quality lead flow
- Develop and complete training for all new hires and continual training for entire sales staff
- Write and publish training materials.
- Strategize new training methods to be implemented
- Determine staffing needs for the sales team and ensure recruitment efforts are being made.
- Discipline and provide coaching to salespeople as necessary
- Partner with sale and marketing dept to set and progress towards goals
- Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary.
- Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team.
- Coordinating with marketing on lead generation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or a high school diploma with a combination of education and /or proven success in prior sales jobs;
- 3 - years of Sales management experience or prior sales training is highly desired;
- Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
- Experience in customer relationship management
- Experience managing and directing a sales team.
- Experience developing training materials
- Ability to lead a sales team
- Dedicated to providing great customer service
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and submit drug testing upon offer of employment
- Able to work at least 40-hour (minimum work week)
