THE OPPORTUNITY
The Worcester Railers HC of the ECHL are in our fifth season and hiring an additional sales person to focus on selling Full Season Equivalent (FSE) which includes season tickets, mini plans and flex ticket plans.

The approximate starting date will be April 1st, but is subject to change.

This is a sales job. Everyone wants to work in sports, but not everyone can sell.

This position will also service existing accounts, organizing group outings and passionately filling the seats in the DCU Center. We sell full menu, this includes season tickets, flex plans and group tickets.

You will be required to attend all Railers' exciting home games at the DCU Center in Worcester. Sit with potential clients and returning customers and watch the Railers excite the crowd! Witness your own success with sold out crowds!

HOW TO GET THERE
Tickets are the lifeblood of sports. Once you learn tickets you can learn anything in the business and have an opportunity to move up or onward. In just three seasons, the Railers have had two previous AE's promoted from within, and two other AE's that landed managerial jobs in the NCAA.

QUALIFICATIONS
You should have strong communication skills (you have to like to talk to people) and a willingness to listen and learn.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Hardworking, dependable and motivated self-starter
• Exceptional interpersonal and problem solving skills
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and strong customer service skill

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Make daily sales calls to generate new business through group and season memberships.
• Assist the Ticket Operations Manager with ticket fulfillment and ticket operations
• Work side by side with the marketing department on lead generation
• Develop, implement and maintain sales campaigns utilizing direct mail, cold calling, appointment scheduling, and ticket driven revenue promotions.
• Generate own leads by prospecting respective sales area.
• Work all home games, additional membership events, and off site sales opportunities as needed for the purpose of developing new prospects and referral opportunities.
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holiday events as needed.

HOW MUCH WILL YOU MAKE
Your starting salary will be $30,000/year. You’ll also receive commissions and bonuses based on your sales success and the team’s sales success. The more you sell, the more you’ll make.
