MBX Systems is looking for a sharp and motivated Sales Engineering Coordinator who is seeking an opportunity to learn and grow with our team in Libertyville, IL.The Sales Engineering Coordinator is focused on projects assigned by the Sales Engineering Director or the Technical Sales Engineers. Daily tasks include activities such as creating part numbers, collaborating on systems designs, ensuring that hardware designs meet all of the product requirements, and preparing customer-facing proposals.

What youll do
Take on daily assignments from Technical Sales Engineers.
Help design reference platforms for specific vertical segments.
Back up Technical Sales Engineers when they are traveling or on PTO.
Sell MBX's technical expertise and services when required.
Collaborate with the Sales Engineering team in the development of the strategic approach to new and existing accounts, including:
How to highlight MBX's solution to address the customer's current pain points.
How to optimize MBX's product offering to most efficiently and effectively support the customer's product needs.
How to develop and present a compelling proposal that demonstrates MBX's commitment to quality, consistency, and professionalism.
Participate in technical discussions on discovery and proposal calls when requested.
Manage and maintain product requirements documentation when requested.
Draft statements of work and quotes for engineering services such as mechanical design, thermal testing, acoustic testing, and custom scripting.
Understand, gather, and document customer requirements.
Maintain awareness, knowledge, and skills in computer technology (e.g. hard drives, CPUs, video, and networking devices).
Maintain awareness, knowledge, and skills of computer OS technology including Linux and Windows.
Occasionally lift computers that weigh up to 50 pounds.
What would make you a strong fit
2+ years of experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems
2+ years of experience in configuring and integrating computer components into systems.
Excellent communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work closely with key customers, technical resources, and other members of MBX staff to successfully deliver assigned projects.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
Helpful skills and experience to have:
An understanding of quality control and computer assembly methods.
Working knowledge of computer architectures, hardware components, and computer standards.
General understanding of mechanical design processes, tools, and materials.
Understanding of regulatory certifications for international market access.
Key competencies: critical thinking and problem solving skills, technical writing & proposal writing, planning and organizing, decision-making, communication skills, influencing and leading, team work, negotiation, conflict management, adaptability, and ability to thrive under pressure.
