Full description of the position
Description
The Sr. Account Manager will manage existing sales and marketing strategies of National Solutions Provider (NSP) Business Partner (CDW). Develop tailored strategies to increase market share and profitability within named accounts. This position works from their greater Chicago metro area at-home office.
Responsibilities:
Negotiate and maintain the relationship between Sharp NEC Display Solutions (Sharp/NEC) and CDW
Develop Sharp/NEC business quarterly strategies
Drive sales, develop and execute marketing activities
Maximize the Return on Investment (ROI) of Sharp/NEC's Marketing Dollar Funds (MDF) spend at CDW
Provide tactical action items as necessary to increase sales and brand awareness
Develop key relationships with Purchasing & Product Management to drive business and improve partnership
Sustain and increase Sharp/NEC market share within CDW
Collaborate to create marketing communications/ programs used by CDW's sales force to promote Sharp/NEC products to their customers
Train/Educate CDW sellers on Sharp/NEC products and promotions
Provide proper tools for selling Sharp/NEC products
Assist CDW sellers with escalations for product questions, pricing & availability and technical support issues
Create and present proposals to the Sales Director on revenue-generating activities at CDW, including but not limited to MDF investments, targeted sales trainings, product promotions/discounts (web & print) and VIR/GIR programs
Submit reports, pipeline and market information by deadline
Maintain relevant account information in Salesforce or other Customer Resource Management (CRM) tool daily
Build internal relationships with Sharp/NEC support staff and inside sales partners to understand Sharp/NEC's internal systems
Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, stand and move for long periods at trade shows
Ability to stand and move for a minimum of one hour while providing classroom-style training sessions
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent
Minimum 7 years' experience selling in the Pro AV and IT channel; digital signage display and/or projector sales experience preferred
Minimum 3 years' experience in NSP channel sales required, preferably with CDW
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and drive sales of a manufacturer's full product line through channel partners
Proven ability to develop successful account business strategies that increase market share and profitability
Strong written and verbal communication skills including influencing, sales and presentation skills.
Technical product knowledge within the high-tech industry - Sharp/NEC products preferred.
Experience with solution sales or consultative sales experience
Experience with complete solutions/application sales process
Proven successful negotiations experience with all levels of an organization
Inventory management experience
Experience with Salesforce.com or other customer relationship management (CRM) tool and Microsoft Office including Teams and Outlook
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Ability to work independently from your Chicago metro area home office
Ability to travel up to 50% travel within territory
Understanding of digital signage and solution sales is a plus
