Professional Services Benefit Consultant in Little Rock, AR
Benefit Consultant
The Benefit Consultant is responsible for providing a thorough explanation of applicable benefit products at the time of enrollment and assisting with the administration/enrollment of all employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, and worksite products.
Essential Functions

- Provide a range of advice on selecting, purchasing and utilizing benefits
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Interact with and educate potential and existing clients in the products that best suit their needs.
- Assess client needs and recommend employee benefits, life and living benefits, and assist clients in planning and implementation of product solutions.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and includes on-site locations such as schools, administration buildings, transportation facilities, etc. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, printer, phone, and photocopier.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work during employment are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Travel
Local and out of town travel frequently required to various worksites
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Two years of in benefits administration, customer service or related field.
- Current licensed life and health insurance agent preferred; if not licensed, must be able to obtain life and health licenses prior to employment
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must possess a current and valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must possess dependable transportation
