Professional Services Pharmacy Sales Representative in Saint Louis, MO
Our pharmacy is looking for a recent college graduate with a business or marketing degree or a LTC pharmacy technician that wants to become the face of a pharmacy that offers LTC pharmacy services.
We service skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, mental health facilities, substance/abuse treatment centers, and even jails. Essentially, we deliver medications to facilities that outsource their patients or residents pharmacy needs. We offer multi-dose packaging & punch cards, electronic MAR's, and daily delivery.
This role is responsible for calling & visiting healthcare facilities across a large service radius. You will have thousands of targets to build relationships and consult with to develop the perfect customized solution for the nursing staff and patients. In any given day, you could deal with a physician, nurse, owner, CEO, and a host of other people within these targeted communities.
The typical rep is in the field 3-4 days per week and they have an office day 1-2 days making phone calls, connecting through social media, sending emails, developing proposals, and sending contracts out for the pharmacy. You will also be responsible to transition the business and maintain the relationship, so you can obtain references and referrals.
The base salary is $40,000 with an activity bonus and RESIDUAL compensation off the business that you sell and maintain. Each year, you should be able to increase your annualized income by $5-$10k based upon your abilities to excel in this position. Health Care is offered after 6 months and a car allowance is effective immediately.
The average rep makes 150+ phone calls, send 25-50 emails, connect with everyone you meet via social media, drop by 25-30 targets with information, and perform 4-5 presentations every week. This is a fast paced job. We provide a 30-day intensive traning program, plus on-going weekly training. Our sales manager will help you close accounts (that you get full credit), plus you will be able to connect with other reps across the country doing the same job. We feel that the tools are in place to give you success, if you have the drive, willingness to learn, passion, and hunger to make as much $$$ as possible.
