The position: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Manager to join our team and drive sales growth in both inside and outside sales activities. As the Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, managing a team of sales associates, and building strong customer relationships. Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate the aviation and motor vehicle components market, with a focus on sunshades and sunvisors.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers, competitors, and market trends, and utilize this information to create targeted sales plans. Drive the sales process from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing deals, both independently and by collaborating with the sales team.
  • Provide competitive information such as bid situations, pricing data, or bundling arrangements to establish negotiated pricing contracts for products. Monitor contracts for multi-year annual requirements for price adjustments and other conditions.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to monitor individual and team sales performance.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement, make informed decisions, and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Manage and lead a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve sales targets. Set clear performance objectives for the sales team and monitor their progress, providing regular feedback and implementing necessary corrective actions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including aviation companies, motor vehicle manufacturers, distributors, and retailers. Identify customer needs, understand their requirements, and provide solutions that align with their business goals.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and trainings to customers and prospects, showcasing the value and functionality of our offerings.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and expos to promote our capabilities when required. Display samples and emphasize technical capabilities of the company.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the aviation and motor vehicle components market.
  • Use market intelligence to identify new business opportunities, recommend product enhancements, and contribute to the development of competitive pricing strategies.

Position Requirements

  • At least four years of business development and sales experience in manufacturing, with a focus on aviation accessories or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying and closing new business opportunities, with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college, university or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Sage 300 and NetSuite
  • Exposure to the aviation and motor vehicle component manufacturing industries

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer, typing, and using a mouse for prolonged periods. Extended periods of working with a computer screen may lead to eye strain or fatigue.
  • Occasional instances where lifting or carrying moderately heavy files or boxes, up to 25 pounds, is required. Team-assisted lifts must be used for movement of anything over 50 pounds and should be used in any instance where the individual feels uncomfortable with the weight/maneuverability of an object.
  • Occasional prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving around
  • Occasional travel by car or plane to visit customers and attend industry events domestically. The ability to endure long periods of sitting during travel and to adapt to different environments is necessary.
