The LDF Sales Team is hiring for an experienced Sales person to fill our open Grocery Sales Route. This salesperson will maintain LDF's products for our grocery accounts.

This position works as an outside salesperson to sell company products to licensed accounts, and perform other activities which are incidental to such sales, including rotating stock, some delivery of products, collection, maintaining customer satisfaction, caring for & maintaining of company equipment, communicating market trends and competitive sales information and reports to the Area Sales Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Achieve sales quotas by account and for route. Attains package and brand sales objectives/ initiatives each month and quarter.

2. To achieves monthly KPI distribution and display goals.

3. Counts inventory on shelf and in back storeroom; completes tracking form and route card accurately. Stocks and rotates all products sold to licensed accounts in territory.

4. Delivers product orders needed before regular delivery, collects payments, and assumes responsibility for safe deposit of same.

5. Secures promotional price discounts and product displays with store managers to sell highest achievable volume. Build displays and maintains all POS materials with clean appearance and in good working order.

6. Pulls empty, damaged or out-of-date products

7. Intermittently transmits orders with submission of final orders by 5:00 p.m. daily or as specified for assigned route

8. Completes load sheets the same day product is taken or brought back

9. Maintains good customer relations and satisfaction; responds to customers’ merchandising requests, or product orders, quickly and courteously.

10. Persuades all customers to accept delivery of increased amounts of inventory and of additional LDF Sales & Distributing, Inc. products.

11. Informs customers of all company products sold, including any new products.

12. Develops new customers on the assigned route, and has a pre-set quota to increase sales in the area.

13. Adheres to all established check-in/check-out procedures and policies.
14. Maintains accurate, up-to-date accounts (route books) via IPad using the rotation schedule as outlined.

15. Reports market trends and maintains an awareness of competitive activity communicating appropriate issues to Area Sales Manager and recommends marketing or sales response, if appropriate.

16. Assures supplier and LDF Quality Assurance standards and procedures are strictly followed.

17. Safeguards all assigned company products, inventory, vehicles and equipment from theft, abuse, or loss.

18. Follows specific LDF Sales & Distributing, Inc. and supplier product handling, delivery and storage procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.

19. Operates company vehicle according to Fleet Safety Manual and report any vehicles accident immediately to Area Sales Manager and follow the vehicle accident reporting policy contain therein

20. Follows FDAA vehicle maintenance guidelines to include cleaning equipment and vehicle as needed.

21. Ensures that all sales practices are in accordance with rules and regulations as defined by the state and federal governing bodies regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages.

22. Perform such other duties as deemed necessary by the Area Sales Manager.

Qualifications:
Completion of Company sales training program. Computer and software skills are required (Microsoft Office and software specific to IPad use). The employee must have an understanding of basic office functions and decorum and possess in-depth knowledge of company products: every brand and package sold and benefits of each product, policies, procedures, and operations. Knowledge of state laws regarding the sale of alcohol and knowledge of sales techniques. Possess grooming and hygiene practices consistent with maintaining good customer relations.

Education/Experience:
One year of beverage experience preferred. Supplier training seminars and formal professional sales training preferred. Prefer six months commercial driving experience and prior route sales experience.

Language Ability:
Excellent sales skills and ability. Requires interpersonal skills adequate to communicate with, develop rapport, influence and persuade customers. The employee must have the ability to articulate information or problems to management.

Math Ability
: Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, as well as a knowledge of trade math to include margin and profitability calculations.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to make quick independent decisions.

Certificates and Licenses:
Valid drivers’ license and ABLE permit (Oklahoma) or like credentials depending on state requirements for selling products containing alcohol.

Work Environment:
Driving company vehicle and on customer premises Monday - Friday from 6:00 a.m. to approximately 5:00 p.m. Schedule is flexible depending on completion of duties and customer demand.

Specific vision abilities require by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus to read information on electronic devices and on paper. Ability to drive a motor vehicle and a semi-tractor/trailer (if a delivery driver responsibilities are on assigned territory/route). Requires standing, walking, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling 150-500 lbs., routine lifting/carrying of 26-50 lbs. and occasionally up to 160 lbs. Exposure to weather elements when entering and leaving customer accounts and sudden temperature change when entering and exiting coolers.
