Job Summary:
Responsible for providing a superior customer service experience to all walk-in contact and phone contact
customers.

Essential Job Duties:

• Personally greet every customer as they walk through the door and maintain friendly contact
  throughout their shopping experience.
• At checkout, implement suggestive selling techniques, as appropriate, and assist with problem-solving.
• Order any out-of-stock, or special order items, create purchase orders, transfers, and follow up with
  customers by phone calls to completion of invoice.
• Maintain orderly files and clean records of all transactions, as well as an accurate cash drawer.
• Observe inventory changes to insure minimum stock levels and store showroom appearance is
  appropriate.
• Coordinate orders from the warehouse to ensure customers’ orders are ready in a timely fashion to
  achieve A&A’s excellent level of customer service.
• Solicit new accounts using every means available to seek out new business and rebuilds old accounts
  by researching former customer listings.
• Assumes other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a strong
customer service background. Must be able to communicate effectively. High School or G.E.D. Equivalent
preferred. College coursework desired. Prior automotive experience and knowledge of automotive parts
preferred. Two to three years of prior customer service relations are preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to establish priorities and demonstrate effective time-management
skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license to operate a company vehicle. Must be able to work in a
team-oriented environment. Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments. Must be
able to communicate effectively with others. Must have strong problem-solving skills. Must have the flexibility
to work variable schedules, including weekends.

Machines, Equipment, and Software: Must be able to safely operate: order selector, pallet jack, pull cart, and ladder. Must be able to safely operate the company vehicle, computer, multi-user telephone system,
copier, and fax machine.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position requires individuals to regularly be on
their feet except when operating machinery, or performing supervisory responsibilities. They must be able to
stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb, and be able to move/lift up to 75 lbs regularly. Must
be able to climb ladders, stairs and withstand heights of more than 15 feet. Should not have any lifting
restrictions and must not be afraid of heights. They should be able to tolerate high and low-temperature levels. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, as well as an office environment. The noise level is
moderately loud.

Preferred Qualifications:

more critical matters.
