CLI SALES REPRESENTATIVE I

SUMMARY

Supports the efforts of the internal and external Sales, Operations, and Field Representatives to provide a seamless flow of operational and technical information between the company and its client base. The position is also responsible for direct, day to day communications from the customer base to the company

Support the outside sales representative(s) in coordinating job information and data before and after the job. This position requires constant accessibility for the field sales and operations teams during normal business hours. Must maintain contact with the client in order to insure all information and data required before a job is obtained in a timely fashion and all data the client requires after the job has been delivered.

Supports the submission of any order into the Oracle order entry system as per the requirements for the project

Supports the international Distributors and Sales Representatives on a daily basis. A group of Distributors will be assigned to the individual and it will be the responsibility of the individual to fully support these distributors with quotations and supporting literature. Will require the training of the Distributors on the Product Line offered by CLI at a Core Lab Facility, through phone/email and/or at the Distributors location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Receive and answer internet email inquiries for standard products offered by the company. (30%)
  • Forward internet email inquiries to the outside sales person(s) as necessary (1%)
  • Receive incoming customer telephone calls from customers and answer questions as possible, and/or coordinate a response from another member of CLI. (20%)
  • Return customer telephone calls as necessary (5%)
  • Upon receipt of an order, review the order for completeness. Enter the order in Oracle. Confirm the order back to the customer. Provide all documentation to the Accounting department for the new sales order. (10%)
  • Communicate with the customer base to advise them on the status of their orders prior to completion. (3%)
  • Follow up on existing quotations to confirm the status. (3%)
  • Follow up with the customer after the order has been received to make sure that the order was complete and the customer is satisfied. (2%)
  • Ability to travel internationally to discuss the CLI products with the customers. (10%)
  • Develop and execute marketing plan for an assigned territory. (1%)
  • Follow up with Agents/Distributors regarding sales, operations and insure they are satisfying the agreement’s requirements. (2%)
  • Will require responses to the customers on a daily basis, including weekends and evenings due to the time differences throughout the world. (2%)
  • Attends weekly Production Meetings and provides sales feedback. (3%)
  • Maintain literature and update website for the product line. (3%)
  • Other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned. (5%)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor degree or three (3) years of experience in one of the following areas: manufacturing, automotive, engineering, laboratory, construction, marketing or other relevant industry.

Must be computer literate. Capable of using Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Must exercise independent judgment. Must be proactive and have an enthusiastic approach. Ability to interact effectively with client and company personnel seeking information. Willingness to work hands on and in the field is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must have excellent communication skills.

Ability to write detailed quotations and specifications in order to show adherence to the requested specifications from the customer

Ability to effectively speak with the customers on a technical basis regarding CLI’s products and services

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

This position will require domestic and international travel for multiple weeks at any one time and may require travel of multiple weeks every 60 days throughout the year.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
