Refractory Sales Representative - Midwest Territory (Remote)

Are you a talented refractory sales professional searching for a rewarding and challenging role? If so, this position could be a fit for you. Lunova Group is seeking a driven Sales Representative for our client, one of the most advanced suppliers of refractory products and services in the world.

This position offers the flexibility to reside anywhere within the territory and travel as needed.

States acceptable to live: Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Nebraska. Relocation will be provided to a candidate open to moving into the territory. Travel is estimated to be about 30%.

About the Role:

As a Refractory Materials Sales Representative, you will play a key role in driving sales growth by selling refractory materials to a diverse range of industries - including aluminum, steel, and general industrial accounts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established company that recently merged, expanding their reach and capabilities. Today our client is more than just the material distributor, they have evolved into a full-service provider of materials, technical engineering and design services, global project management as well as, end user consultations of policies and procedures.

Refractory Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Generate new business opportunities by prospecting and identifying potential clients within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, and joint sales calls with existing and potential customers.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and internal departments to ensure smooth order processing, timely delivery, and customer support.
  • Provide technical expertise and product knowledge to customers, addressing their inquiries and recommending suitable refractory solutions.
  • Regularly visit the St. Louis branch and participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Travel within the Midwest territory, including the states: IA, KS, TN, KY, IN, MO, and IL, to meet with customers and prospects.

Refractory Sales Representative Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the refractory industry.
  • Technical background or knowledge of refractory materials is required.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus, particularly in a relevant technical or engineering field, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a hunter mentality and the ability to generate new business opportunities.
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 30% of the time, typically from Tuesday to Thursday.
  • A team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
