The Mid-Market Account Executive is responsible for focusing on renewals of clients. The position would be more tactical vs strategic as evidenced by the volume of clients assigned to the book of business.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Manage the agent through the BCBSF sales process to achieve new sales and renewal goals.
  • Collateral material, lead generation, proposal and rating, influence RFPs, losing/acquisition, objection handling, enrollment/implementation, renewal, channel knowledge and integration.
  • Manage and lead agents to obtain sales, renewal, profit and quality goals (in coordination with agent coordinator assigned to same agents while ensuring channel integration).
  • Create commitment to BCBSF by utilizing Tiered Approach.
  • When requested sell direct.
  • Collateral material, objection handling, account management/retention, channel knowledge and integration.
  • Determine appropriate plan alternatives, balancing customer needs with product migration strategy.
  • Manage resolution of service issues in collaboration with sales support staff.
  • Monitor account management/service to minimize impact for renewal.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with a specific assigned group of agents.
  • Recruit new agent relationships through BCBSF agent levels.
  • Use relationships with agents and key community leaders to generate new and renew sales
  • Educate agents on BCBSF sales process, products, pricing, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct agent needs analysis.
  • Act as liaison or key point of contact between agenda and BCBSF.
  • Build strong partnerships with individuals within and outside the sales organization who support servicing and selling of our products.
  • Use new sales and renewal process to sell added value products; e.g., Life, Dental, Disability.

What You Must Have

  • 3+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education in insurance sales experience with thorough knowledge of the health insurance (life or p&c) industry, agent distribution systems, and sales promotion principles.
  • Health and Life Insurance license
  • Negotiation skills and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred Licenses and Certifications
Professional designations within the insurance industry (e.g., RHU, CLU).

Salary

To support your financial wellbeing, we offer competitive pay as well as opportunities for incentive or commission compensation. We also conduct regular annual reviews with pay for performance considerations for base pay increases.

  • Annualized Salary Range: $82,400 - $133,900
  • Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $82,400 - $103,000
  • Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
