Assistant General Manager:
Our Assistant General Managers are helping us to redesign Jared while enjoying a 40hour work week and a financially rewarding career of celebrating life and expressing love with our customers. You will collaborate with the General Manager in developing exceptional teams, driving sales and profit excellence, and innovation to inspire your team to succeed in store and virtually.

Basic Function:
The Assistant General Manager is a management position within Jared. This position will achieve store and individual sales on all platforms by providing exceptional customer and team member experience. This position will be responsible for overseeing and implementing all company initiatives in collaboration with the General Manager. The Assistant General Manager will oversee operations in the General Managers absence.
Responsibilities include the following and will continue to evolve with our Path to Brilliance. Additional responsibilities will be discussed during your interview and upon hiring.

  • Assists the General Manager in attaining sales and profit excellence as set by the Company. Maximize the in store and virtual sales potential of all Team Members through training, development and leading by example.
  • Achieves sales results in repair and custom design services in collaboration with the in store and Design and Service Center Teams. Develops technical knowledge of repairs and custom design services. Estimates cost on watch and jewelry repairs. Executes minor repairs as needed. Trains in store team in all areas related to repair services.
  • Oversees the implementation of all health and safety policies to ensure team member and customer safety.
  • Train team to use all platforms for selling, training and outreach including digital technology and social media.
  • Assists the General Manager to recruit to build a team of top talent and develop relationships with future candidates to ensure we are always ready for the next team member. Collaborate with the District Recruiter on building a highly engaged, results driven team.
  • Consistently communicates and trains team on new product launches and ensures that the team is knowledgeable in all areas of product knowledge to deliver exceptional customer experience.
  • Assists in evaluating Team Member's performance to determine progress to identify developmental needs and celebrate success.
  • Establishes a positive, professional work atmosphere to inspire and motivate others to achieve store goals in a team environment.
  • Acts in a manner that will influence and earn the respect of Team Members in a positive and professional manner.
  • Maintains transparent and open communication with Team Members and management. Encourages Team Members to innovate and share ideas.
  • Strictly adheres to all Company Policies including security and loss prevention. Assists General Manager in upholding policy and procedures with in the team.
  • Assists the General Manager in delivering an exceptional customer experience though in store behaviors and Voice of Customer follow up.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
