Fast-growing, dynamic cider brand is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to join our team at Diskin Cider in Nashville, TN. The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for managing Diskin Cider’s retail market presence, drive brand awareness, product representation and sales at on and off-premise retail accounts, with distributor partners, and at promotions and special events throughout your assigned distribution territory while working under the supervision of the COO.

*Salary range listed on job description includes salary based on current sales plus potential for additional commission.

Building strong, long term relationships with our retail buying partners, distribution partners, and consumers. Maintaining the highest level of customer service and quality standards for all Diskin Cider products in the marketplace.

ABOUT THE POSITION

You will be expected to maintain relations with current accounts and find and grow new accounts. The Territory Sales Manager plans, organizes, and controls sales functions from prospecting through account acquisition to achieve specific growth goals. We expect the sales manager to execute sales plans, be responsible for all sales activities within your assigned territory, build strong relationships with our business partners, utilize CRM software and other technology, track sales related expenses, encourage repeat business, build new business, provide brand support through market activities and educational events, liaison with our distribution partner, attend company meetings as requested, and conduct your work week in the most efficient way possible.

PREFERRED CAPABILITIES

  • Will be based in, and work in, the city of Nashville or within commuting distance
  • Ability to represent Diskin Cider responsibly and professionally at all times, including supporting and promoting Diskin Cider’s mission and company culture
  • Knowledge and appreciation for the craft beverage alcohol industry and the hospitality industry; knowledge of the three tier system is a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic when working independently and as part of a team to achieve company-wide goals
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to work with a variety of personalities, seeking common ground and understanding
  • Develop sales programs and partnerships to increase sales and serve large customers
  • Maintain ongoing positive interaction with distributor sales personnel and decision makers at accounts for marketing, education, and events
  • Develop sales programs and partnerships to increase sales and serve large customers. Able to work a flexible schedule outside of regular business hours (based on account contacts’ schedules), including some nights and weekends (some travel may be required)
  • The ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment
  • Computer and/or app experience with a CRM is a big plus
  • Plan and execute on and off premise promotions as required
  • Achieve planned sales and distribution goals
  • Ensure all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising and promotion of cider beverages are maintained
  • Represent Diskin Cider at various community and special events, festivals, markets, etc.
  • Schedule and communicate with the Diskin Cider Brand Ambassador as to who is to attend tastings at off-premise accounts. Alert necessary parties of said tastings.
  • Communicate on a weekly basis w/ COO regarding orders, trends, seasonal considerations and any sales related issues including weekly market visit recaps
  • Complete and submit weekly work & travel logs utilizing CRM Hubspot
  • Attendance at all Sales Meetings
  • Must have their own vehicle, valid Driver's License, current insurance coverage, clean driving record, and cell phone
  • ABC certification required

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A few years of experience in a selling environment or hospitality setting
  • Knowledge of beer, the craft beer industry, production of beverage alcohol of any kind
  • Bonus points for having experience in beverage alcohol or distribution sales

PHYSICAL ASPECTS YOU MIGHT ENCOUNTER

  • Frequent car travel; occasional flights and overnight stays
  • Occasional lifting of items ranging from 25-50 lbs
  • Tasting of alcoholic beverages for quality control
  • Regular visits to bars, restaurants, liquor stores, and other hospitality establishments
  • Installation of marketing materials which could require using stools or ladders, lifting, bending, and stretching
  • Being present in-person in one place for multiple hours in accordance with branded event guidelines

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
