Job Description: Business Development Director/Manager

Job Overview: As the Business Development Director/Manager, you will be a key driving force in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities to expand our market presence and revenue streams across our existing markets of Northern Virginia and growth markets in Maryland (metro DC area). You will help lead, shape, and stand up the new Business Development team at ElderTree. Your strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and strong business acumen will be crucial in building and maintaining relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders. In partnership with the Vice President of Business Development, you will be responsible for spearheading the acquisition and conversion of new clients and business.

Key Responsibilities:

• New Business Intake: Gather new client information to inform cross-functional teams including Executive Director and care team; manage the intake process for new client development
• Lead Generation: Identify and establish relationships with new referral sources
• Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing referral sources and potential business partners; understand their perspectives and present a tailored solution
• Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare regular reports and forecasts on sales activities to meet or exceed quarterly corporate metrics for client development
• Culture Champion: Eldertree is a mission-driven business; business development champions our mission, vision, and values
• Team Growth: Help stand up and lead the new Business Development team focused on a consultative sales approach

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Healthcare industry experience preferred
• Experience in business development or a similar sales/marketing role
• Proven track record in meeting or exceeding KPI’s and/or sales targets
• Exceptional written/verbal communication and presentation skills
• Solutions oriented individual able to thrive on a consultative sales team
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant business development technology tools
• Willingness to travel as needed, especially in Metro DC area, to attend community partner/referral source meetings, conferences, and potential new client intakes
• Highly motivated, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced and autonomous working environment
• Meticulous follow-through and self-accountability
